Auto Time-Out to Default Skin Screen?

Wondering whether it is currently possible (or possible to implement) a feature so that after a certain amount of time, the current screen automatically changes to a default screen of choice.

The reason I want this is because when I'm driving, most of the time I don't alter the audio or GPS etc. and want everything on one screen.

So after I've fiddled with say the audio player screen to select the album I want, after 10s of inactivity, RR automatically switches to my default screen which would display:

the next 5 songs
basic music controls
a small GPS window
the next maneuver

I suppose the Video and DVD screens would have to be exempt from this auto change.

Any help/ideas would be awesome

Best solution would be to make a little plugin that monitors mouse/keyboard activity (in general and send a command to RR to load the screen of choice when no activity for a period of time.. if anything you can probably just set this little app as the screen saver and have it just send out the command instead of monitoring everything..

I have absolutely no programming skills, though I figure this shouldn't be too hard to do using bits of code available on the internet.

Could you point me in the right direction? I couldn't find anything with respect to writing a plugin for RR, is there any information about this? What language should I be using?

Any help, links would be appreciated,

This is also a feature I'd be interested in. I'd be happy to give writing a plugin a go, but as stated before, I'd need a little bit more info on how to do it.

Basically all you need is to follow the example in the SDK Example provided with the sources of RR.. if you have any trouble let me know..

I have this functionality implemented in my adapted version of RR. I use it to transition from the list of songs screen to my main menu skin which has the folder art in it's place. I'm generalizing RR so all the current hard-coded skin timeouts (e.g. the hiding of the controls on the video skin and the hiding of the GPS controls on the GPS skin) are implemented using my new skin command instead. That way no programming skill is necessary.

I need to fix a bug I recently introduced with how my 'improved' GPS fuzzy auto-center works and I'll release my (very) temporary skin & updated rr.exe.
