Any news about my strange problem? RR and Girder

Hi Guino,
Any news about my strange problem?

I've connect the original steering whell command of my car whit an IR interface to the CarPC, setup WinLIRC and Girder, and run RR, this work well, the job is little, only vol+/- track +/- and paly/pause, vol and track work fine in mp3 (audio) section, but when I press play button RR play but don't accept any IR command.... I must stop music manually, return in main menu and all work, press IR play and this stop to work, no IR volume change or other.
In Radio section all works fine, I've try to install old version of RR (Fist April) but nothing change.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but are you referring to the original Renault stalk control? Mine is hardwired to the original headunit -- how did you make yours infrared?

I can't help you with your Girder problem; I've just finished setting up mine and all works well. I am running the latest version of RR, Winamp 2.95, Girder 3.2.9, Igor plugin 4.04 and the girder file by contaygious (http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/atta...chmentid=15424)

I've buy an universal interface that can connect varius original stalk control and send varius IR signal for Pioneer, JVC, Alpine, ecc. This Interface can be connect to all resistive stack control.

But do you have connect your steering whell of your clio to the car pc?

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to look at it.. gotta setup the remote on my laptop for tests.. have you tried to create another "PLAY" command in girder ? also, have you verified that there's only 1 "PLAY" command defined ?? maybe you can download contagyous GML file and try it to see if anything changes (may have to learn a few buttons).. first indications seem to be that there's nothing wrong in RR..

Ah yes, I think I've seen those. Do you have a URL for me? I'd like to look into it.

No, not yet. It has low priority and is therefore still very much in the planning stage. As I will be keeping my original HU, I am thinking of a neat way to control both the PC and the HU with the original stalk control.

@GUINO: I've try to configure girder to command the winamp 5 and I've some problem, for example I can select track in winamp but when I press play winamp stop responding to girder command. When I press STOP whit mouse winamp return to respond at girder command.

Any ideas?

If you're saying that Girder + Winamp freeze (like in RR) but OUTSIDE RR, then it's likely to be nothing RR related. What version of girder are you running ? Have you tried winamp 2.9x ?
