    Selecting directories

    Hi

    I have just been playing with RR again, looking to replace my MediaCar installation and I have noticed something a little weird!!!

    I use my install as a very simple CD mulit-changer. I have no on-screen buttons, and everything works via my remote and Girder.

    In RR if I go to Browser (or list) and then Select a directory, the display briefly flashes the contents of the directory and then plays the first track. This is all fine.

    It is when I come to select another CD (or directory), I go to Browser again and the display is showing the contents of the previously selected directory.

    My point is that I would like it to stay at the previous directory level, and when a directory is selected to play it does not browse into that folder first.

    I have tried using SELDL and cannot get this to work, either in Girder or in KeyTBL.ini. In KeyTBL.ini I put 65, "SELDL" to assign the function to the a key and no joy.

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers

    Just execute "LIST||!BROWSE" to go into the audio browser, this will make it so after opening the audio browser, your "home" folder is displayed (the music folder set in RRConfig).

    Really petty small issue, but is it possible to get RR to show the currently selected directory when going into browse/ list. Using the command you gave me previously takes me to the top of the list every time.

    Cheers

    Glad I'm not alone.

    Didn't know quite what to refer to it as, but history browse mode seems to cover it....

    Mediacar does it. And this is the all singing, all dancing replacement... Bring it on...

    Change the "SELECT" button to "!SELECT||BACK||EXIT" and "SELECT+" to "!SELECT+||BACK||EXIT"

    Other than that, I'd leave the original commands and just change the "LIST" command to "LIST||BACK" or contenpt myself with pressing back after using select.

    Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think this is what we're talking about...

    History Browse Mode?

    @Macboy

    Yeah, it's kind of related to what you're talking about. But with a bit of f**king about I managed to use what Guino suggested.

    @Guino

    For some reason within Girder, I cannot use the string the way you suggested (i.e. in one command) and have had to create a MultiGroup and put each command in separately. No problem.... Just thought you might be interested or know why!!

    Cheers

    @Prem

    I see what you're saying. Does that work after a restart? Mine always starts at the home directory after restart.
