for ur BMW people, i have found 2 connectors that looks the same in the trunk. one set has 2 plugs (one with 3 hols and another with 6or8 i think-these are square shape) another set i found is closer to the rear seat (it has 3 wires/harness - one with 3 holes, another with about 16 or so, and another looks like something you would plug an antenna in)

OK, besides that....Before connecting anything to the car.

I have downloaded the ibus program and ran it on my carPC. i see it in the task manager. BUT when i open RR or winamp....it gives me that "run-time error 13" what the heck? i didnt even connect the ibus to the car yet. I checked the Device Manager and see com 1 and com 2 used for some sort of communication thing. and in the ibus ini file, its set to com 1?

please help, i keep getting that error everytime RR is opened.

PM me your email and I will send you that program which I am using for the last year with no prblems. It is already configured for standart steering wheel BMW buttons and WINAMP.

dam all this talk of BMW steering wheel controls workin with there carPCs.....

any help on a product that would work with lexus OEM streering wheel controls???

I am sure there is some stuff on the net about this. Before I had Lexus and I remember that I saw something for it. I'll try to find a link.

if your lexus can control MBus CD changers, then you can probably use the Car2PC adapter from indashpc.org

CDRSkull - Can't you just use the following in the original IbusComm .ini for the default NEXT and PREV in RR's Key.tbl?

KeyBoardMap="^{RIGHT}" or
KeyBoardMap="^{LEFT}"

That should send CTRL + LEFT or RIGHT? I've been using IbusComm to navigate menus w/arrow keys, but I'm planning on expanding it's use to some other things. Just want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding how it works.

The original version used the way your on about (keysend) I altered the Ibus version to work on comsend, which is how is now works. So you can send any RR command and it doesnt even need to be in focus.
