All the skins seem pretty advanced for your needs (you'll have lots of unused buttons). If possible, I would say try your hand at skinning and making one just for your own needs.
I am planning on running RR on a low end machine. K6-2@400Mhz, 128MB ram etc
What makes for an efficient skin? From what i have read, not installing flash makes a difference. Is there anything else that can be done?
I realise im not going to be able to play DVD or divx etc but thats of no interest to me in the car. All i want is to run my GPS applications (which are currently running fine on it) and mp3 playback. I will also be using it for occasional web browsing and net stumbling.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a suitable skin would be great.
thanks

I'd recommend making a personalized skin with only the audio player, audio browser and applications skin, then also use no more than 800x600 (16 bit) to reduce memory usage, then use winamp 2.9 and make sure not to use flash on your skins. Reduced image sizes on the skin can improve the loading times for the skin... Still this is going to be fairly slow... I test RR on a P200 with 48Mb RAM w/ 98SE and it works ok but I'd never recommend that setup.
