    RR shows no videos

    Hello,

Im testing RR and I have problems with videos. Ive installed WinDVD 7, Media Player Classic and WinAmp. Only WinDVD and Windows Media Player (not classic) shows the Video. So when I want to see a video (videoclip) in RR I only get the music. Can anybody help?

Sorry for my bad english, Im German

Load RRConfig and check the "built-in" video option .. then try again.. if it doesn't work, you may need to install some directshow codecs (divx/xvid etc)..

I sort of have the same problem. But my problem is that only certain videos/movies play. All the other ones wont even play sound. I have all codecs installed and only few videos play in road runner. I tested all the non working videos in media player and it plays fine in there. Video files i have are mpeg-2's, divx's, and xvid's. Any suggestions?

if you have all the codecs installed then it should work propperly... what you need to understand is that WMP has built in support for many filetypes (WMV, MPEG2, VOB etc)... those will only play in RR with the propper directshow filters installed for MPEG2, VOB etc, as long as the codecs for XVID and DIVX are installed, they all should work...

I had a similer problem a while back. It turnd out to be down to the fact that my on board grafics card was outputting to both CRT and TV. Once I changed it to CRT only everything showed fine. Might not be same as your problem but worth a try.
