You can split the GPS data to iGuidance and RR by using an external application (Xport, etc).. some cost a lot of money.. check the support software forums for those apps.
    cool,

as far as the com port split, i already had xport setup in my car but havent run it in ages but while i was in the gps mind state i went and checked for updated drivers for my earthmate and the drivers now include native support for com port splits, even lets you pick which data streem to send to each port. pretty cool.

as far as the heading indicators, it dosent have to be anything fancy, just simple N,S,W,E combinations etc are fine.

    thanks

haha... that's fairly small indicator but it's a matter of choice... I tested with some huge JPGs..

That would indeed be nice. I'd like to have heading and speed in place of the car and outside temp displays.

I dont think this is off topic but.....I just went on a trip to sacramento, ca to visit family and on the way back i wanted to find a restaurant that was in the direction i was going so i could get ready for the exit and/or if it is close. All i had was mappoint and a gps for current location, which proved to be hard while driving searching on a laptop (i was running some GPS test stuff )

Question: How hard would it be, or has it been done, to search a restaurant name or any business name and have RR display your position using mappoint and display the nearest match in the direction your going? This would also be usefull for finding gas stations, and with that, linked to the cheap gas listings online?
Um, I guess this is where you put something witty.WITTY
