Set Volume control to winamp instead of master

I found a post from a while back where someone asked about this and this is when the ExecTBL .ini came into play.
Basically I want the volume controls up, down and mute in road runner to control the winamp volume rather than the master volume so that when I receive a call through my mobile I can hit mute and all volumes will still work line out and mic, so that I can take the call as usual.
I know that mapping the volume controls to winamp will enable me to do this but I am just wondering what the actual commands would be.
I have read through the examples in the ExecTBL.ini file but I am unsure on what the commands to control winamp would be instead.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    You need this on exectbl.ini:

    "VOL+","VOL+;Winamp"
    "VOL-","VOL-;Winamp"
    "MASTERMUTE","MUTE"
    "MUTE","PAUSE",PLAY
    "MUTE","RESUME",PAUSE
    "MUTE","PLAU",STOP

Then you need to change all slider codes of your .skin files from "MASTER" to "WINAMPVOL". You should read skin commands.txt for more details and perhaps read the skin tutorials about editing the skins.

    Set startup Volume

I have done a and cannot find any reference of being able to set the startup sound of RR. Music never seems that loud when you are in your car for a while but when you go out and back in again it's quite a shock. (To me anyway)

Is there a command such as the one in the previous thread to start RR with say 30% volume?

    Thanks Guino.

Guys I believe there may be a way to do this. I think I read about it in a thread on these forums. I'll have a look around to see if I can find it again unless someone replies back first

I have posted the way to do this...except mine start at 3%, try the following post...

Cannot find new command syntax !!!

You didn't search hard enough.. BTW, your welcome.

Guino, maybe you could add this or an edited version to the FAQ's, "I" think that is pretty well written for anyone to follow

    Thumbs up

    Appreciate it thanks.

Ohh and by the way, I actually spent over 1/2 an hour searching for this before posting the thread.

    Thanks again.

hey i just did that and winamp handles the volume well (i mainly wanted coz my thinkpad has these gay green bars that come up when sys volume is changed)

BUT now the volume controls dont work on video (through MPC) so i cant control vid vol. Is there a way to get it to control MPC? or can i set winamp as my Vid player?

Video volume control can only be done using the Wave line or the Master volume, sorry. Winamp can't be used as the standard video player as of yet.
