i believe it can, how, im not sure
but... the more simple way to do it would be to use a bat file to launch RR and the other app you want to start. You can also set RR to kill the external app when it shutsdown via ExecTBL.ini

You can use the start command option in RRConfig for this along with the RUN command -- details are in skin commands.txt.

    Quick Q about this...

Skin Commands tells me as an example:
    "RUN;C:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE;NOTEPAD;NOTEPAD"

What if my path to the App has spaces or is a long filename or something? Do I need extra quotes in the middle, or will it work fine just like that, or how do I do this?

Looks like the first extra "notepad" in that example makes it embedded and the second makes it spoken.. i need neither, but when i try
"RUN;C:\path to my app\app.exe" it doesn't work.. any suggestions anyone that knows more about the RUN command?

EDIT: To give you more info, I'm basically setting rr as my shell, and want it to run a matchvolume exe at startup. it's located in a subfolder of "Program Files" (so path has a space and is a long filename).

    Tried it, doesn't work.
    Neither of these work:
    "RUN;C:\path to app\app.exe"
    "RUN;"C:\path to app\app.exe""

Anyone have any experience with the RUN command and can comment?

    How about this
    It works for sure
    runq;C:\program files\freedrive\freedrive.exe|hidden

I’m using this at the moment to load my gps program. The hidden option is for the gps program.
The road is long but we are getting there.

Hmm well I figured it out just before you posted that, but thank you, I really appreciate the help!

I removed all quotes (around RUN, around long path with spaces, etc) and it worked.

    Thanks again though.
