Will winamp 2.9 do this or only winamp 5?

If so how?

not sure what version of winamp is needed (probably any version) im using 5.
But for it to work, you need to have something in your music library in winamp.

i have winamp 5 and it works but i am trying to get it to work with 2.9

Any winamp version will work.. all you have to do is install/setup the media library then have it scan the files... this creates main.dat under the plugins\ml folder and that's what RR reads from to show those options.

I had a play list from 2.95 but when I built new ones using 5.33 RR show garbage in the Albums, Artist and Ganres folders.

Does anyone know if there was a format change or some other issue?

do a search for the tag garbage.. this is a ID3 version thing. It hasn't been changed in RR but it's possible winamp handles it differently. You just need a tag editor to make sure your tags are saved properly.

Just want to make sure we're in sync. This is the Winamp library file are located in C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\ml\.

The problem I'm seeing is not the the song information but only the three special list Album, Artusts and Genre. All of the song information displays just fine so the id3 tags should be ok but those three folders have trash in them. In Winamp, the library everything looks fine. I've cleared it several time but those three folders always get created with junk in them.

I've been checking Winamp to see if there is any format control in those lists but nothing found yet.
