    for those of you with slow "first loading times".. please add this to RR.IN:

    enableclipping=false

    and try it with the latest version... if that doesn't help, I really don't know what can be the problem...

    I've had similar poblems, where I've hit the forward button and got no response. Then after a little while RR would go crazy and forward like 10 songs and play the next on and do the same thing again. I have to exit out of RR to make it stop doing that.

    I noticed the same thing... sometimes the playlist jumps like 10 songs before it finally plays a song.... kind of odd

    I went back and loaded some old versions. It seems like this started happening with the 7/15 version. The 7/3 seems much faster for me at least. There is still a small delay, but almost unnoticable.

    has anyone tried the "enableclipping=false" setting? It did not help in my case.

    Guino, as an option would it be possible to quietly load all skins on the background to prevent this 5 sec loading thing while not disabling the clipping?

    basically while running RR, playing music, etc it will be silently "loading" the screens...

    just tried my new skin out in the car, and because I was using it to test out different pages, I did notice a lag in button presses.. like was mentioned before, the main thing I noticed was the prev / next command, the lag on these seemed far greater than before. So I swapped back to the standard skin that comes with RR and that was the same. Unsure whats causing it, will play some more. I did notice when you touch the screen, it takes about 3/4 sec to show the button down pic if that helps

    Bit silly to load ALL the skins if you are going to use only 4 or 5. Maybe once a skin is loaded it stays, therefore only on first access of a new skin it is slow.

    also maybe define in an ini file which skins to load as a base (ie list the skins you are most likely to use, music,gps, audio browser etc.)
