I'm also having a problem - I've just rebuilt my PC last night.

When using RR (16/10/2005) it's about the same performance as it was before.

Except when I click the GPS button. 3 minutes later and I still had no GPS, and RR was no longer responding to anything. I suspect it hit 100% CPU util, as RR was still animating, the clock going, buttons would go up/down, but it just wouldn't do anything.

I rebooted and loaded FreeDrive outside of RR. Worked fine.

I am having similar problems with my setup....slow to adjust volume, lag in between pressing buttons and getting a response etc.

Anyone know where I could download a previous version? Have looked around but all the links I can find are for the latest .exe....

    Appreciate the help.

Same with me. I'm new to car PC's; first installation in mid-summer for the vacation - worked well but since then I've been fiddling a lot, installing and removing various programs.

I recently noticed that the response of RR had slowed down and concluded that this was due to all the fiddling. Exactly two weeks ago I wiped the hard disk and reinstalled the programs that I want.

The first few trips were great and RR fairly zipped along then the slow down struck. I've tried to relate this to any event but am unable to.

Writing this reminds me that I need to send Guino a donation, RR is an excellent interface - my wife appreciates both no longer having to navigate and being able to select from a wide choice of music.

interesting... can you guys (with the slow problem) check the CPU usage on your machines, see if RR (or any app) is using a lot of CPU ? cause that's pretty weird... I have the latest in the car, laptop & desktop... no problems whatsoever...

CPU usage when idle is about 4-5% for RR 4% for winamp

During moments of "slow" delays CPU kicks up to about 90% or more for RR

This reminds me of my problem once. RR started to be so slow sometimes. I found out that disabling visualization fixed the problem. I can't reproduce it now, but I guess some skin did not use or used it wrong and RR was using all the CPU everytime a key was pressed. Disabling (selecting other and nothing specified) visualization fixed the problem for me.
