    Transparency for album art

    Just wondering if there was a way to define an area for an image and have it set to a certain transparency level.

    For example, I wanted to set a region in my audio player for album art behind some buttons. And I don't want it to be at full brightness.

    All my album art is .jpg, so I don't know if this is possible, or if RR even supports this.

    Thanks.

    this can be done in flash, its quite easy to learn, just go and grab swishmax, its loads easier to learn than flashmx and I could give you a few pointers to get you on your way

    Thanks. I would be interested in that.

    So will the flash file that I create be used as an overlay of my album art .jpg images? So when I select an album, the .jpg image is displayed, but with a transparency.

    Or do I have to modify every .jpg image to have a transparency.

    I already have flashmx and have used it to do some simple things for my website. If you could let me know what the basic process is, I can try and figure out the details.

    Or I can get swishmax.

    Thanks

    if you grab swishmax then I will send u a file that will show you whats going on. Guino added a albumart label, which holds the route the the current cover. In flash you can import this art work and do what you want with it. :-)

    CDRSkull, any idea on how to implement an auto-switching flash that toggles between album art and Freedrive's turn direction indicator and distance to next turn?

    MC1.0 released in the skin section..

    Sorry its taken me so long to reply with a swishmax example..

    Attached is a GPS Directions / Album Art swish file.. this shows the album art, unless freedrive is routing then it shows direction and distance.

    For this to work you will need in the skin...

    F,200,200,200,200,"GPS.swf"
    J,0,0,0,0
    L,0,0,0,0,,,,,,"CUSTOMFDETA",
    L,0,0,0,0,,,,,,"CUSTOMFDNEXTMAN",
    L,0,0,0,0,,,,,,"CUSTOMFDNEXTMANDIST",
    L,0,0,0,0,,,,,,"ALBUMART",

    also in the sdk.ini in the FreeDrive folder you will need to amend these lines

    FDETA=RoadRunner
    FDNEXTMAN=RoadRunner
    FDNEXTMANDIST=RoadRunner

    thats about it :-) Make sure you have the latest flash 8 player installed as well

    hope this helps

    Hello CdR, greate skin! I'm using this now and i love it. But please, as a no programmer, where do i put this to get it working?

    Also, it's seems that the clock on the top of the screen is missing one number
    (eg. it shows 4:01:1 when it should be 14:01:10)

    Looking forward to the next release

    Regards
    Carputerbear

    O.K. What am I missing here? The file in the zip is "GPS Directions.swi" but the above example talks about "GPS.swf." How do I get this to work?
