Installation Instructions;

Streets & Trips 2006 should be fully installed and functional prior to installing the skin.

Using the RRConfig Utility, enter the following information in the GPS Pane;

GPS Mode = External

GPS Path = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\Streets.exe (or your install directory if custom install)

GPS Window Name = - Microsoft Streets & Trips


Copy all files beginning with the name “GPS_ST2006… to your Bushed Metal skin directory.

Rename your External_GPS.skin file to External_GPS.orig

Copy the file named GPS_ST2006.skin to External_GPS.skin

Load RoadRunner, reset your skin and test the GPS functions.


All functions are documented in the “tool tip” section of the respective .skin file.

Softec great skin it worked with my Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007 nice and simple instructions.....Just a word out for anyone wanna use it with MS 2007 just follow the steps softec put out dont change anything. It worked on my laptop easily i will move it to my carPC this weekend and give it a try there too which i think i should have any issues cross my fingers.....
Two things thou,
when u initialize MS u have to see the welcome screen for few seconds is there a way to avoid it.....just a bit annoying????.....
Second thing......when using MS 2007 in the skin u cant see the end of it...that is anything below configure gps button....I think its coz the window is made smaller....Do u see that in 2006 also and is there a way to get around it and see the whole MS screen in the skin

Also the only things ofcourse is that once u use the skin u will not be able to see the end of the screen so i can use the re-route option F7

love the skin works great but i would like to change the color how do i go about this.

I used to use nRoute and I finally got the CarPC iGuidance V3 but is there a way to remove the FILE OPTIONS ETC ETC tabs at the top of the window ?

this is in the RR forum, so I assume you are using RR.

Read this (1st post): RR - iGuidance 3.0 embedding – Solutions Consolidated.

RR natively supports iG 3.0 so, just add ignative=true to the ini file, and it should take care of that.

if so dose this mean i should be able to make 1 button do (start of route/end of route/clear route) on the same button.

the switchbutton will only work IF the B06 line is exactly the 6th button defined in the skin (six line starting with "B" in the .skin file) -- please check that.

Ok, I read through here and can't see to find an answer to the question I have. Basically, I want to know if I can use the skin pictured here with iGuidance.

Yes, but you'll have to reprogram the buttons.

Well, which buttons would I have to reprogram? I'm more interested in this skin because it has controls for the music right there on the GPS page. Right now, with my install of iGuidance, the only buttons I use are part of iGuidance anyway. Would reprogramming be necessary to get the software to work? I'm guessing I would only need to reprogram the buttons if I wanted them to work the software, right?
