LOL look at my other post in this thread I have already suggested and tried to get other to help implement this, no luck

Email guino he is the RR creator and is very helpful, good luck I would love it if someone could finally crack the OSK problem.

Well, I've downloaded Softec's skin and installed it onto my test pc. I have to say S&T 2006 would be extremely hard to use while in car without this skin! It's a must have.

The only thing that stuck out to me was that since the SENDKEYs are all taking you through menu navigation every time you push a button on the skin you see a quick blip of the menus. I looked into the files and S&T a little more and I was able to clean a few of them up with keyboard shortcuts vs. going through the menu.

Below is the code that I changed in the file External_GPS.skin.

I found a work around...

||ACTIVATE;Roadrunner

within the launch gets Roadrunner the focus assuming no other window contains the word "roadrunner."

Got an OSK working for both IE and S&T. Turned out to pretty easy. Just use the Uboard transparent OSK. configure it to align on the bottom (hit CAPS then CFG). This OSK alignment will allow you to get to the address tool bar or menu in IE and S&T. But that wont be all that necessary if you invoke the OSK this way:

in the web skin:

XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,"ACTIVATE;Explorer||RUN;C:\UBo ard\UBoard.exe",""

in the streets skin:

XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,"ACTIVATE;Microsoft Streets & Trips||RUN;C:\UBoard\UBoard.exe"

It works. And the nice thing about Uboard is that it will go away if activated again from the skin button. You can therefore toggle back and forth easily.

You can get UBoard in CFX_Tools. Just do a search. Please post your results and enhancements.

there was already a URL OSK that worked for RR bult in? The S&T thing in new though.

Yes, but the URL OSK only does URLs. It wont take care of web forms or searches. Have you tried it yet. I'm interested to hear other's results.

i tried but i couldnt get it to launch streets and trips -followed the second version posted here cant figure out what went wrong----renamed external gps to gps.orig but couldnt find another folder to copy gps_2006.skin into?????

no I haven't tried it yet, don't currently have S&T installed, but I haven't had any problems with web forms and searches. When I find my S&T install CD I'll give it a whirl.
