win dvd no sound

no sound on dvds using winamp and win dvd plat 5, just moved to windvd from mpc cause of slight lagging and cpu 90+, windvd seems better (probably because not having to deal with sound) any ideas

had a good search by the way before you all start

Do you have sound on any other application? (Using mp3's or other audio files)
Check the sound settings in winamp and win dvd to ensure they are outputting to your preferred sound device (ie. sound card or onboard sound).
Does the dvd have sound on an alternate dvd player?

yes sound all over, put win dvd on cause mpc was playing a bit laggy using up a lot of resources otherwise it was fine (would rather use mpc though too much messing with windvd)

will look into it in finer detail settings etc
