Hi, is there a way I can capture the command that RR pass to media player classic? I suspect there is a bug when playing a movie file where the path contain unicode.
Here's the repro:
1. Put a movie file such as test.avi into it's own folder named "\test" under your video dir such as \my video\test\test.avi. Play this file in RR to ensure it work.
2. change the name of the folder from "test" to chinese or other asian language (can just copy/paste any characters from chinese website).
3. The charater can still display correctly in RR, and browsing works fine. However, when play using the "select" command to play the movie in MPC it doesn't work. The video never got into MPC at all.
this is an issue with MPC's playlist handling that does not support unicode... I'd suggest the built-in player instead, or you'll have to rename your files... or perhaps you can try and find an MPC version that does work with the unicode playlist..
I see, so what playlist are you referring to? Is it MPC's own playlist or winamp because sometime I can see the movie being queue into winamp?
I have no trouble playing movies files named in unicode or within a unicode folder.
RR makes a .m3u file and passes it to MPC so it loads the files... I know for a fact that MPC has trouble reading unicode chars from that playlust file.. it's a bug in MPC... nothing I can do about...
