Released: BETA 10

Right, here goes...

I've released BETA 11 and it's available via the website:

Changes in this BETA include:

- Merged Giuno's changes in... there were quite a few and it gave me a head ache in ensuring I did not miss out anyones changes... hopefully it's good!
- Added a single kph / mph option to RRConfig and removed the exisiting one in GPS Vol and also in the GPS settings page. RR will now use this single value for all functionality that makes use of kph / mph.
- Included the missing ocx in the zip file.

Please ensure you run RRConfig and check all your config values (especially the kph / mph setting).

Hey Skippy76 and others...

first of all thanks for your effort.... now, I just installed last night your 10a version (so still havent tried beta11 but I dont see your changelog referring to this), when using the USE VOLUME+ATTENUATION option, I'm having some problems...

it seems that RR loves starting with volume at 0%...(when stopped - when I'm running volume starts at a bit, but when I stop goes to 0, showing that RR isnt really regarding the previous volume I had set)... Also, when I set volume to say 5%... I speed up, volume goes to 10%, then I stop, volume goes below 5%, to something like 3%, for example... if I speed up and slow down several times, eventually it will go to 0% when I stop, again disregarding my initial volume...

I tried setting the max% and % at 80kph from 10% to 5% to see if it would do something, but it didnt change this behaviour...

I have also noticed that often RR is stopped, not resuming when coming out of hibernation/restart... is the functionality broken?

Overall the feature is great, but a bit unstable atmo... are you others having the same?

Beta 11 has introduced the transparencies with swf files on windows 2000 again.

I just do not understand adding gps speed vol, gps gamma and indicators and so on would do this to RR 11-27-05.

So I guess it back 9a or RR 11-27-05 for me in my truck till a fix comes out.

[Edit]: Can someone with the transparency problem please try installing the latest verison from shockwave? Between 9 and 9a (or around the time of 9) I installed Vista and also installed the latest version of Flash...

I this the problem 'may' be due to that fact that I am compiling against the latest version of flash... Just a thought... I'm also looking into the code at the same time...

[EDIT 2]: Ok, it's because I have the new version of flash installed. Therefore, if you have issues with Flash transparency, please go and download / install the new version of flash player:

REMEMBER to untick the 'Install Yahoo toolbar'... unless you want the really annoying Yahoo toolbar that is...
Also, apparently you need IE to download and install the Flash player.

I've noticed that for somereason RR is saying ASCII or something when it starts. This could be a problem I introduced when I merged Guino's and my code. Shall take a look.

The flash player was the problem on windows 2000 machine – thanks skippy76

Now tomorrow I will test out everything I can (4:30 am)

excellent, was that after upgrading your flash player???

Also, is anyone getting the same problem as me with BETA 11? It keeps saying something over and over again.
