Dialup in RR without Phoco?

I'm curious whether anybody is using dialup networking to connect to the Internet in RR without Phoco. I have a DUN enabled phone which I am now using to connect to the Internet. When in RR, the only way I've seen to connect so far is to minimize RR, click my DUN icon on my XP desktop and, once connected, maximize RR. I then have to do the reverse in order to disconnect.

I'm wondering if there's any way to connect using DUN from within RR without using Phoco. I've tried embedding my dial up connection in RR, but didn't have much luck. I don't think I can use Phoco to dial because I have a bluetooth enabled car (2005 Acura TL) and a phone which doesn't support multiple bluetooth connections (Motorola V710).

the way i do it is to set windows to connect automatic to my dun modem but this only works with standard windows bluetooth suite,and the bt device can't be in use by another device,so i ended up getting a phone as a modem only(connected by bluetooth) and my mobile for phone use connected to the pc by data cable(hacked into the bottom of a nokia car kit cradle(this way i can connect my bt headset to my phone)).Even most cheap phones have BT so if you can get a suitable date cable this slightly longer way round is seamless.

I actually have a second DUN dedicated phone also. You're right that connecting is not that big a deal because you can use auto-connect, but how do you disconnect?

ther's a timer in the connection options "disconnect after X minutes of no activity" set it for a couple of minutes,and use a skin with the online indicator,that way you have a visual so you can be sure it's disconnected.

someone posted a way to edit a batch file to run something that will disconnect you .. im trying to search for it

maybe this:

make a .bat file with this lines (the connection has to be set as default)

rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,CloseRASConnections

Save the file as "c:\disconnect.bat" (with quotes in order to avoid double-extensions)
