    RR and BSPlayer

    Has anyone successfully embedded BSPlayer into RR. I have had some issues using MediaPlayer with the newest codecs etc. I have utilized BSPlayer for Several years and it has never failed (within reason of course) to resolve codecs etc.

    As a trial run I have done the following;
    1) Using Guido's FAQ for embedding applications, I setup BSPlayer to run as an external embedded app without any issues. This worked great and even embedded perfectly (thanks Guido!).
    [GENERAL]
    PATH = C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\bsplayer\bsplay.exe
    TryEmbeddedTimeOut = 5
    WindowSearchString=!TPlayF

    2) However, when I tried modifying the BMV2 main.skin (the Video Button command string), I was able to get the application to execute, but not embed. I created a copy of the video skin and called it bsplayer.skin.

    Here is the command string as I have coded it in the main.skin;

    B03,451,73,339,106,"LOAD;bsplayer.skin;!TPlayF;C:\ Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\bsplayer\bsplay.exe;!TPlayF"

    I have spent several days trying different things and reading thru all the posts on embedding that I could find. I tried using separate load / run commands and I have tried several different variations on the 'TPlayF' window (with / without the !) without success.

    Anyone have any other ideas? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    use this code in your button, change the path etc

    Code:
    RUN;C:\throwaway_files\bsplayer137.826\bsplayer.exe;"
    note the weird characters for the window title, this will embed the video window in RR

    noticed some other odd stuff in your code,
    use this for your button

    Code:
    B03,451,73,339,106,"LOAD;bsplayer.skin;RUN;C:\ Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\bsplayer\bsplayer.exe;"
    01101100 01101001 01110001 01110101 01101001 01100100 01011111 01110011
