Thread: just an idea

i know a lot of request for playlist changes havent faired so well, so this is just an idea and not an official request

anyway, playing with RR i somehow managed to get RR to show only the name of the album loaded as the only entry in the playlist, but yet still have all tracks associated with that album loaded in the playlist. I think it somehow happened by reloading and switching skins multiple times.

Anyway, i think this would be a cool idea for when your playlist is huge (tons of albums loaded) its really hard to navigate the list as the list is all tracks. But if there was an option of a nested view, you can have 30 albums loaded, and onlly see 30 entries in your list, one for each album or DIR but still have all the tracks loaded. Then you can easily skip to a new album without having to skip a ton of tracks one by one or scroll yourself into a ditch.

I think when the PL is in this view mode the previous and next buttons should function the same but based on how the list is being viewed. So if im in DIR view, it will skip to the next dir and play the tracks in that dir or album.

i know something like this could probably be hacked together by using the PL screen as the audio player and some fancy commands ( i may even give it a shot) but i think it would be more elegant as a feature built into the audio player.
