Request: Load Albumn Art embedded in MP3

I noticed requests.txt and noticed that adding the capability to read embedded albumn art isn't on the list. I would like know if this is possible and if you are willing to add it to your project. If so that would be great.

i think this isnt done for performance reasons or something to that effect.

I chose not to add support for this for performance reasons. But if you REALLY want it, I could put something together but NOT INSIDE RR... I can make a little background "plugin" that could monitor the song played and update a skin image as appropriate.

I would like this feature and i am sure others will aswell. However i don't understand why it will be such a performance issue. Maybe you could explain that.

I am comming from frodoplayer which had that integreated nicly. I understand that this a completly different beast but how much of a performance hit could this be?

The way i would expect it to work would be to only load the album art while the song is playing. Not for browsing. Loading all the album art in a large list out of the mp3's could take a while and could be a performance hit but if it just displayed while the song is playing i don't think it will be so much of a performance thing.

Has this plugin been created yet? It's the only thing stopping me from moving from mediaengine to RoadRunner.

Why is it that important to look at a picture while a song is playing???
I have a cover art image for every artist in my library and it displays just fine the way it is. I don't need a different picture for every song. I rather take speed before a picture for every song. You can download a plugin for winamp and clip the area where you want to display the album art without performance hit in RR.
