    Help with embedded MapPoint functions

I'm a bit confused with a couple of features of embedded Mappoint -

    1) I can't get favourites to work! I've tried the step by step guide in this thread, but nothing happens when I click the "ADD" button in the location search screen, even though I have a location selected. I've noticed I don't have a favourites.ini file - should I, and if so where?!

    2) What does the green "radar screen" button in the location search screen do? It brings up a numeric keypad when I click on it, and entering a number makes RR bring up a list of locations, but I can't quite work out what they relate to!!

    Thanks

    1) Fovorites.ini comes with RR's package but should also be automatically created if you don't have one.. it resides in RR's path.. pressing the "ADD" button should load the OSK and allow you to enter the "Name" for the location, that's what get's saved to the favorites.. you must first have searched and selected a location from the list before the "ADD" button works.

    2) The radar screen is a "NEARBY" feature. It shows the numeric keypad so you enter a RADIUS of search, then it displays the locations near by in order of distance from your current position (GPS).

    Thanks for replying Guino.

I manually created a favorites.ini file earlier, and I can see the entries in that (created by hand) when I click the "FAV" button, but adding an entry via RR still doesn't work. I find a location, click on it once to highlight it (so I assume it's selected), then click the "ADD" button, but no OSK appears

    Ah, that makes sense. Thanks

I'll check it out -- may be a bug introduced in the latest version (I re-did a lot of the internal command processing)..

Is that the latest latest version? I'm running 27/11/05 at the moment.
