    Eject a usb cdrom device

    Hi,

I've a little matter with RR and my usb dvd drive. The dvd drive is a LG DVD-Rom Ide, and I use a USB-to-IDE Adapter USB2.0 for converting it into a usb device.

When I press the eject button on the screen, nothing happen, the dvd doesn't eject. But when I connect it with IDE (no adapter) that's work great.

Any idea of the problem ?

    Thanks

I've never tried Eject with a USB drive, dont see why it shouldn't work. The only limitation of the EJECT command is that it will only work with the FIRST removable drive installed. RR uses a Built In WINDOWS function for this feature, so there's hardly anything I can do to improve it.

I don't understand why that doesn't work. When I go back home, I'll try to eject a disc with the button in the windows explorer (Right clic on the device, Eject), to see if it works.

    I'll keep you update

    Thank you

I hav had that problem in the past, so I decided to make a little app that you can run to open the cd/dvd drive. Edit your *.ini to point to it when you press eject, or set it up as an external application. Good Luck!

    Great Thanks.

I've find how this problem happen. Sometimes my usb 2.0 hub disconnects my dvd drive for any reason . I'll try to fix it by adding a power supply to the hub.

When the dvd drive is correctly connected, RR eject the dvd with no problem. Sorry for thinking that was a RR's problem, that was not the case.

i've been having similar usb problems lately, not on my install thank god but my brother inlaws,he was basically trying to pull too much current through his available usb ports.RR would function normally until he activated his WinTv tuner and then he'd lose the touchscreen controller,a powered hub fixed the problem.

also, when this happened you could hear that Windows sound of a usb device being hot swapped, over and over again.
