    Arrow flash animation at boot up

    Can anyone help me?

    What i am wanting to do is use either media car or road runner as my front end for my car pc. i have found a place that shows you how to have windows boot directly to the front end instead of into windows.
    what i am wanting to do is have it boot directly into front end but play a
    flash animaiton first. So when you turn on the PC it plays the animation first and then boots to the front end application.

    Does anyone know how to do this or what i am talking about?
    Do i have to have somehow add the flash animation to the front end application or can they be seperate?

    Thanks everyone

    I'm wondering if you can maybe boot into the flash document, and then have it load the program once it has completed the animation. Not sure how this could be accomplished, but I'm sure action scripting could do it if properly executed. I'll look into it. Any ideas on if this would work?

    not sure if that would work or not, but u could ask guino to add the flash object type to the loader screen.

    or... you could make a flash animation that plays fullscreen and compiled as an .exe file. Then just stick it in your startup folder or make a .bat file that runs that then RR.

    You could try this:

    Flash Form Application

    Liquid_Smoke's Idea makes the most logical sense, especially if it's pretty quick, and you run the .exe to run full screen on top. That's what makes the most sense.

    This can all be done very simply within flash by using fscommands to control the flash 8 projector program. basically, just create your animation and place this script on the main time-line at the beginning:

    Code:
    onLoad () {
       fscommand ("fullscreen", true);
    }
    and at the end of the movie (when your animation is done playing) place this script:

    Code:
    onFrame (25) { //frame 25 was used as an example end frame
       fscommand ("exec", "C:\\Program Files\\RRpath"); //Path to RR.exe (use double slashes)
       fscommand ("QUIT");
       stop();
    }
    Now just export your movie to .exe (projector) and place a shortcut to the exe in your startup folder or however you like to launch programs at startup. This should work with SWF4 or later.

    Good call DiNASTY. Sounds like that could work as well.

    Good work.
