WinAMP TV wont' find WinTV

I have a WinTV USB device I got off ebay.

So far the radio works perfectly with Road Runner.

following the instructions though, the winamp TV plugin says "Can't Add Capturer --- Error: Invalid Pointer" When I go to configure it, and it doesn't show the WinTV device at all under capture device.

The TV works fine under WinTV's software as well. Has anyone been successful using the WinTV USB?

Try a different version of the TV plugin, and make sure you have the latest wintv drivers for your card. Unless you're trying to get Digital Broadcast (not analog), there's no reason why it shouldn't work -- I have a wintv here I use for testing, always worked fine.

Hi, does it means that it won't work with Digital Broadcast? Am actually contemplating getting the WinTV Hybrid HVR1100 PCI card which supports both digital and analog broadcast.

I'm afraid the digital broadcast stuff isn't compatible with the WDM interface from windows, or at least the first few cards in the market were not -- you may luck out and find a card that is... in most cases you should be able to embed your TV application into the skin at the least, but if I was buying a card ONLY for the digital stuff, I would make sure I could return it and get a refund.
