Question Pioneer Infared remote to control RR

I have a pioneer car stereo and an IR transceiver for my carpc but i dont know where to go from there, i have searched for IR software but nothing seems to just open up the infared port and "listen" for ir commands, and then translate them into RR commands. Any suggestions for software or hardware?

I've tried to use Girder before but it didn't recognize my Infared devices. I put it on my laptop (using the built in IR) and also used the ir usb dongle that I have. Do i need to drop some cash on a UIRT USB device (like the one advertised on the girder site) or can i use mine (with some custom configurations)?

Edit: Ok, so i did some homework and found out that my USB Ir device is an IRDA and is not compatable with consumer Ir devices SO...... I have 2 choices, use the onboard header on my VIA EPIA MII12000 Mini-ITX Mainboard (more homework to do) or just buy a UIRT-USB (50 bucks).

Now, where can i find the usb device that connects to my headder in my mobo? the manufacture sure doesnt offer it!?!?

Its all to do with Frequencys etc. The UIRTs very good and will send and receive if needed but could be over kill.

There are many devices about but you will find any OEM ones probably will be IRDA only.... ie no good for remotes.
