Problem passing commands to MM through RR

Weird : using exec.exe, I can send simple commands such as NEXT or GPS which work perfectly, but when I send MM commands such as MM;View_3D (from the Skin Commands.txt file), it doesn't seem to react...
    Can anybody confirm ?
    Thanks

Try adding your command to ExecTBL.INI and calling exec on the new simplified command..

    "MM3D","MM;View_3D"

    Then:

    Exec.exe MM3D

My guess is that some characters used in RR commands may not be propperly passed as parameters to exec.exe.. you may also try:

    exec.exe "||MM;View_3D||"

since the OS normally preserve what's between the quotes before executing the application, it should also work.

No, strangely, none of the above work. I tried to determine if the problem was due to special chars as you suggest, but the following works :

    exec.exe SEEKTO;01:15

I also tried other MM commands such as MM:ZoomIn, but no result either, so it looks like it's linked to MM.

Can someone confirm this ? Is there a way to debug the communication between RR and MM ?

    Thanks for your help.

Do those commands work if you put on a .SKIN file in RR ? If not, then you should look closely at the settings you need to set in MM to make this work.. this is in the GPS FAQ.

As always, you're right... the default MM settings were still there - no interaction - while I thought it would have worked "out of the box"
Maybe you could add a word in Skin Commands.ini such as :

See Map Monkey's SDK Manual for list of commands and RR's GPS FAQ on how to activate this feature in Map Monkey
That could save you from a few newbie questions like mine

Thanks a thousand times. I confirm : RRRules and so does its author
