Very strange question ... about DLink FM

    Hello everyone !

I got very strange problem. So, I am using RR, External SB Audigy 2NX ( I thingk this is the right name) and recently I installed DLink DRU100 FM USB radio. In my car I setted up the sound card in 5.1 mode - so I connected front and rear speakers separetly + I connected a extra subwoofer. When I am playing MP3's or CD's or Video I have a good sound with no problems and with normal bass. When I am starting to play DLink FM Radio (it is connected thru the mic in because thru the line in the output level was very low) I have a sound but it looks like only thru the two front speakers and absolutely no bass It is very strange because all another options plays perfect (mp3, dvd, video, etc). It is looks like the problem in some sound card settings, I mean it does not play the sound from line or mic in thru all speakers, only thru front ones. But I was not able to locate some settings in soundcard control panel regarding this. Maybe some one has this problem before ?
    Thank you for any help.
    Regards
    Vlad

I would highly recommend you use an input other than the mic-in (it's just not good), most motherboards/soundcards have an AUX-In input or CD-In input that may work better for you.. in your case, this may not be true since you have a USB sound card (yuck), anyway, it may help for you to install and use the Line-In plugin as explained in the Radio FAQ -- make sure to mute the output of the Mic audio line since the sound will then be playing from the wave line. This would basically record the radio from the sound card, and play it back just as you play mp3 audio..

guino thank you very much for the fastest answer I ever get. I will try to switch to line in input and install the line in plugin. probably it will help in my problem.

Audigy NXs absolutely suck because they have three or four problems like this that require a lot of effort to work around.

I recommend a PCI SB Audigy 2 with kX drivers. You can do ANYTHING with those.
