Guino, did the phidgets support for using inputs as action triggers ever get implemented ? i have been trying to find out exactly what is supported by your official release, but i can only find the temp/voltage sensors

I believe someone got the source codes and made a mod for it, but it was not released.. I've always wanted to do that, but I don't have a board to try it with.. so I think the current RR only does analog readings..

Ok, i was the one that did a lot of modding of the code regarding phidgets and sent it to you and skippy for integrating into RR. I guess the official rel. only has reading of sensors for now, i will work towards integrating further, and send you the code.

I've got a phidget 8/8/8 sitting here with a few different sensors and I'd love to have it support actions within RR for the digital inputs and have buttons trigger digital outputs.

It would be great to be able to change what action is triggered by the digital inputs with RRConfig, or atleast within the rr.ini file.

    Eagerly awaiting your release

i was thinking of using Exectbl.ini for this, will give us maximum flexibility i think.

Wy not RR.ini, that way we don't have to mod every skin's Exectbl.ini.

well, what i meant was to make it work so that one could use the commands in exectbl.ini or of course directly map inputs to a command in a skin.

just as a test a did a little piece of software to map inputs to a keyspress, i just used this to map functions in rr to a specific key (a-z or whatever you like) its just a test for now, but it seems to not conflict with the phidgets sensor in RR. www.boyakasha.dk/sendkeys.dig.input.exe

I wrote a program that clicks the mouse in 8 different locations in response to any one of the 8 digital inputs. It was my plan to place small transparent buttons in the skin editor at out of place locations (i.e. [0,1], [0,2], etc) to act as 8 "soft-keys". This way you aren't limited to 8 pre-defined functions, but rather 8 functions based on whatever screen you are displaying.

I have a modified version of the aforementioned program to work with the buttons on the steering wheel of my RSX. It also included volume control via one of the analog inputs, mute button via a digital input, and some I/O control for my radar detector. If there is interest I can un-modify the program and release the more universal version with the 8 inputs / 8 mouse click locations as originally mentioned.
