A few issues, hanging / winamp

Hi guys, the carputer has been on hold for the last few weeks but its time to sort things out, im sick of it being on my desk not in the car

A few issues I have with RR though at the minute, any help on any of them would be fantastic!

1, Using milkdrop visualisations - upon clicking the vis button i get fullscreen working just fine. I double click to get rid of the visualisation and the little winamp visualisation remains. If i close the window then the next time i open it things are fine, but closing such a tiny window is impossible on a touchscreen, i would have thought it would hide or close the visualisation window when i double click from full screen??

2, Clicking "Rip" causes RR to hang on the loading screen.

3, Clicking on the phone also causes RR to hang but on the phone screen itself.

4, GPS doesn't open up in Bongo Skin but i guess this is a skin related problem if thats possible.

Other than that things seem to be working quite well, hibernate even works and gives a boot time of about 40 seconds to music playing...thats cheered me up no end!

1-Set your full screen mode to a different resolution than you run RR in, then click the right edge of the screen (ONCE) to close the vis directly.

2-You probably have some bad setting in place, also, this "hang" issue should have been fixed on the latest version even with a bad setting.

3-Again, this was fixed on the latest version.

4-Check your setting on RRConfig, if you're using the GPS Menu option, the SKIN must have the correct screen for it to work, or it won't do anything.. change the option or try the BMV2 skin to verify that it works.. this DOES depend on the skin you're using.

I tried setting the visualisation to 640x480 and i run 800x600 on RR. Clicking on the right side didn't seem to do anything.

I'll try getting the latest version of RR, mines pretty recent but i coudln't find the version number.

the version is displayed on the startup banner -- basically it is the file date.

The version number is 05/03/06 so pretty much the latest.

Still not sure about visualisations. Sometimes it will open and close fine but others it will open fine, then not close properly. Im wondering if a new installation of winamp will help things, i'll give it a go and post back.

The hanging in the phoco screen has been fixed so a big thanks to the RR guy(s). The rip button still causes it to hang on the loading screen though.

Sounds like an impropper setup of the path for CDRip.. there's a whole FAQ on the subject.. just hit ESC on the keyboard to get out of the loading screen.
