Weather by Location

I have to assume this has been asked, but I searched the forum and could'nt find an answer.

What I would like is for the weather to be automatically updated depending on current location (using GPS). Is this available? Is anyone working on it?
Assuming you can extract location from your GPS (by the way I'm using Delorme LT20 and StreetAtlas 2006). It should be fairly easy to make the weather loaction dynamic (Easy for me I'm not a programmer).

Added features, show the weather for whatever location I click on on the map, Also show traffic info for the location.

This is not currently implemented.. (your) problem will be that even if added, this will only work wirh Map Monkey, FreeDrive and Mappoint as the other applications do not provide interfaces to pull up that information -- StreetAtlas is definitely one of the worst choices when it comes to car navigation.

As I currently dont have a touch screen, and already had Street Atlas it works for me. As soon as I get a touch screen I'll look at other options.

As this functionality is not currently available I have a suggestion for similar functionality with a manual interface.

Step 1. Create a list of cities. Just a simple text file listing the cities on the route you will be travelling (in sequence)

Step 2. A simple program (They are all simple when you are just writing the spec.) To allow the next city on the list to be selected and writen to rr.ini updating cityweather=

Step 3 Hit refresh on the weather screen and you will have the weather in the next location

Did I mention how simple this all was? Did I mention I am not a programmer?

A few additional attributes if preferred:

Add all cities in the country to the table. Prior to the trip select from the list those cities you want along your route and add a sequesnce number.

Two options on the selection screen, 1, just select next city, 2 allow and city from the lsit to be selected.

Similar functionality would be useful for Traffic info if it is avaialbel online.
