Thread: Release new phoco integration preview

Still have problems connecting when coming back from hibernation. The Phoco icon in the system tray turns red and just stays there and does nothing. I think this is due to the fact that my bluetooth port is not available the first few seconds Phoco tries to connect.

Robby, is there a way we can add 2 commands.
"DISCONNECT_PHOCO" - totally disconnects and unloads Phoco
"CONNECT_PHOCO" - reconnects Phoco
Basically a 2-part version of "PHONEDISCONNECT"?

Also, exactly what does "phoconoincallevent=true" do?

I'm still having the connection problem coming back from hibernation too.

This is getting SOOOOOOOOO frustrating. It's the one piece of my carputer setup that I would like to work the most.. And the only piece that isn't.

Currently we have to navigate back to the SMS.SKIN then choose the next SMS and press the "DETAILS" button again to view it.

devcon enables device, ready for phoco to take it over again

RR does not manage directly the BT connection to the phone, but it works like a PhoCo frontend for means of a TCP-IP socket connection (You can read the Remote Control White Paper provided with PhoCo for more details).
If you force to disconnect the BT dongle by an autoit script, RR will interpret this as a timeout and you will lose the control of your phone by RR.
Some radical changes in the code of RR are necessary in order to manage this feature.

I'm not sure of this, but try to change the tag "CheckPhoneTimeout" in your PhoCo configuration (the default value is 20 seconds).

RR closes PhoCo when entering in hibernation and restart it when coming back. Try to add "hibernateaware=true" in your RR.ini.

"PHONEDISCONNECT" force PhoCo to disconnect and reinit the phone, the two command that you have asked for are totally different, if I have understood these last ones would have to close and/or restart PhoCo.
I think that there not will be a problem to implement them in the next release.

It disables the <InCall> event, that is used to determine if someone accept the calls directly on the phone and not through RR, but that it may create problems with those phones where this feature is missing (like a lot of Sony Ericsson). So if you have noticed some strange problem with your "INCOMING_CALL" popup window, add phoconoincallevent=true in your rr.ini or set it with RRConfig.

Basically not a real update, I've merged all my changes with the last official release (5-1-06). I've also fixed some issues with the incomming call popup window.
