you are not doing the shortcut part i told you correctly.
    1. open "c:\program files\phoneControl" in windows explorer and locate "PhoneCtl.NET.exe"
    2. Drag the file to your desktop using your RIGHT mouse button and release when you are on your desktop..a menu appears. select "create a shortcut"
    3. right click on the shortcut on your desktop and select properties.
    4. COPY/PASTE the text i told you on the posts above into the TARGET (not into the "start in")
    5. plz copy paste it and don't write it yourself.

EDIT: by the way i did that mistake myself... it took me 2 hours to figure it out.. phonecontrol opens this way because it cannot find its skin files..as it needs to be opened from its own folder..(someone correct me if i am wrong)
After months of trying to find the problem with Phoco working in -remote with RR, Zoran has fixed the problem. I must give him his 'props' that when I got him involved in troubleshooting, he worked to find a solution. We worked back/forth and finally, he attached to my PC and found that something changed. We had a 7 hour difference in time but we still worked to get this resolved.

The problem was that something in .net framework (ver. 1) was missing or corrupted. He downloaded the latest service pack (1.1) and "bingo" it started communicating again in -remote mode. I hope this helps someone.

Be sure to have the last RR official release.
Open your RR installation folder and rename RR.exe and RRconfig.exe for backup reason, then copy in that directory the two files provided.

    Hello,
I m downloading the link of 1st thread. And 1. I get only one file Roadrunner.exe. IT seems there should be 2..
So I did replace my roadrunner.exe with the one provided here. I see loading phone control when I start RR, but (I use a custom screen),2. what should the command I put on my button in my skin editor?

Sorry if the response is there on those page, but really didn t see it.

    Thanks

    BeuZ

    Got it: "PHOCO" ...doh

I have been trying to get phoco working in RR again (got a new WM5 phone) and have everything working except one thing. It appears from looking at phoco's logs that whenever roadrunner opens it reloads the phonebook, dialed call, missed calls, received calls, and sms messages from the phone. With the number of contacts/sms messages I have, this process takes several minutes, which is too long for real use in the car. Is there a way to set rr to only reload the phonebook on startup and reload everything else either when their screens are viewed or when I press the reload button? I've been looking but haven't found anything yet.

I'm using RR 4-11-07 and phoco 1.7.7 on a cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) running Windows Mobile 5.

This reloading problem occurs only when using phoco in rr, not standalone.

    Thanks

i'm using phone control 1.7.7 and the latest rr and i'm having trouble with the remotenodesign option. if this is set to true, phone control starts up but throws an error about the com port not being able to connect. i can run phoco standalone and it works fine. i can also start up phoco and minimize it, and then start rr and the phone integration seems to work. i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. can anyone enlighten me?

this is strange, as there are no settings in RR for the port.. running phoco both ways actually is the same thing and uses the same settings, except that phoco is closed whenever RR is closed..

EDIT: yeah check what Enforcer said..maybe the port that the bluetooth uses is set in RRCONFIG by mistake to something else??

Wrong User ID ? Help !

Can someone tell me why, when I get an incoming call, the wrong Contact Photo/Telephone Number is sometimes displayed.
It happens to be the first entry in my phone list ( don't know if that is relevant or not)
    Spec: T610, Phoco 1.7.7, BMV2, Latest RR.
    Car : Ford Focus Zetec S 1800cc
Carpc :Galaxy GT-P1000 Original 7in Tab

what used to happen is that phoco used to display in the incoming number/photo, the last outgoing phone number!!! but robby fixed that in last versions..are you sure you are using the latest RR?

I've checked, and I wasn't using the latest RR because I had re-imaged a new carpc I have just installed.
BUT I am now using RR 4/11/2007 GDI+ etc, and I have just had the same problem again although it is not happening all the time, just once in a while......
It is really difficult to analyse this problem, but I will keep my eye on it and try to work out just why this is happening. Having said that, If anyone out there thinks they have any more answers...I'm all ears.

i looked in the rr.ini and the only port setting in rr is gpsport=2. phoco connects on port 7. also if rr is already open, i can open phoco stand alone and it will work fine so i don't think there is a port conflict with roadrunner & phoco. this doesn't happen on my wife's carputer which means it's a config problem on my end. i'm going to do windows update tonight and see if that fixes my problem.
