Feature Request: DVD/Movie playing while in GPS mode

I would love to have this feature enable. The movie/dvd is playing in the background while GPS is showing (like you are currently in video browser mode).
Basically what I want is if I am in video/dvd mode, and if I click on any other option (menu/gps/apps/mixer .... you name it), don't auto switch to audio mode. Just treat it as I am currently in video_browser.skin.
Also this feature can be turn on/off. If on it works like my request. If off, it works as it is now.

Reason?
I have 2nd monitor setup for back seat. I was able to use video overlay/full screen feature in nVidia/nView (dual mode). By using this feature, I was able to play movie/dvd in RR and full screen on the 2nd monitor. Now instead of showing movie in the front(VGA) monitor, I want GPS instead. In the mean time, I just have to run iG stand alone and maximize instead of embeded.

I make a quick scan thru the code trying to modify, but I can't make an EXE to test cuz I don't have mappoint installed. Comment mappoint out is a nightmare. Do the audio/video feature control by these variables (AudioOn, VideoOn, XMOn, SirusOn ... ?)

I hope that this feature is also usable to others who request dual screen support.

Hey matrix u dont use mobile emulator do ya? I cant find out how to get that running to rear seats similar to the way video automatically does with nview.

I and many others want the ability to do that, esp going into the GPS and having video audio in the background... Guino has said multiple times that it was considered but it requires some changes, and he didnt have enough demand...

Leta hope he or someone else reconsiders... I'd also love to be able to show video/gps on the same screen...

What about a functionallity like the one I got on my new DVD player (Sony MEX-R1 DVD). It's called ZoneXZone, and it allows me to listen to two sources at the same time. I.e I can send DVD for the kids in tha back seat, and listen to Map Monkey in front.
One of the sources (in this case the DVD) is permanetliyset to DVD, but the other one I can choose by me self.

Really enjoy this functionallity...

Im looking at this at the moment.

Running two screens , gps up front and playing divx on a rear screen for the kids.

I'll try loading Multimon , ( http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/guide/videos.asp) and directing the videos to play on the secondary monitor.

I have 2 screens, the touchscreen hooked to the onboard video and a movie screen hooked to a pci video card.

THe below info from thier website,

Not all video players will work on secondary monitors, recent versions of Windows Media Player and QuickTime should work fine though.

Fullscreen video playback on secondary monitors: the following video players can play fullscreen on any monitor, and they stay in fullscreen mode when you work with a different application: Windows Media Player 9, PowerDVD 4 or later, NVDVD, Zoom Player. "

Alright guys.
Let see my rusty VB skill is still usable

Base on 03-06-06 code. I was able to keep video playing while navigating around roadrunner, Including GPS (except any audio player radio, xm, sirus, audio)

Know problem: Embeded apps and switch skin.
- Embeded app: Video seem to stay on top, you have to select RR from task bar again to avoid "black frame" around embeded app.

- switch skin: While video playing, switch skin cause it to stop

Hopefully I will iron out those bug over the weekend.
BTW, I need someone to host the file (514K).
