Thread: Infomap Navigator 4.4 Embedding problem

I also have this problem mate but it sound like you have gotton closer than me I couldnt even embed it

I am starting to get somewhere with this. I have added a button space on the external_gps.skin, and given it the following command :

"GETFOCUS||SENDKEY;{%V};{ RIGHT};{I}"

Getfocus brings up the Navigator window. I am then trying to do ALT-V, Right arrow, I. This sequence sets/removes the input window, which will be useful when I get to use the system in the car. The sybtax however is not right, any help will be appreciated.

Well I finally worked out most of it !

To embed Navigator 4.4, I used RRCONFIG to set the GPS to external app, and pointed it at the Navigator.exe programme. This loads up the External_gps.skin, and on that skin, I created an Application area to embed Navigator in.

When the app runs within rr, it seems to lose its way, and a blank grey window appears over the top of working Navigator window. to get rid of this I created a button area in the top left of the screen, with the attached command code.

Getfocus makes the working window visible, and the rest toggles the input and output panes, so it becomes a useful button for me to get the most real estate for the map.

It would be good if I could get this to work automatically, but this is a reasonable workaround to get Navigator integrated into RR.

That sounds great, although I dont really understand what you've done (not much good with teh software side).

I use Navigator aswell but the window has been bugging me for ages.

Any chance you could send me your skin and a few instructions please, would be really appreciated.
