    XMD 1000 Issue

I have recently put an XMD 1000 in my vehicle with RR ...

When I start the car, about 1 in 3 times the XM box has an issue, when it starts and it IS working however, it will work flawlessly and wonderfully until I shut off the car.

When it's not working, usually it just starts with a ton of static, and doesn't change, you can't really even hear the music, station lists are a bit weird, etc. Then the other times it doesn't work, it will just bring up preview station and thats it.

Now, I closed RR when it had the problems, didn't fix it, still sending static through the line in, the only fix is to unplug the power from the XMD, replug it and reboot the computer.

It's getting it's power directly from the battery... I'm planning on switching the power over to the M2-ATX in a couple days when I have the opportunity, anyone else have any other ideas what it could be?

you should run another application (FrodoXM, etc) when the problem happens to determine if it's a software or hardware issue.. but from the details you provided seems like a hardware thing -- software issues are normally very consistent.

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I have just started to get it. I run my xmd power through the switched power in the car which has worked just fine. Every now and then, I get static when the epia comes out of standby. I can either do a full shutdown or standby again to fix the issue which leads me to believe that the xm needs to be reset.

I just added the xmreset command into my xm skin and will test it the next time I get static. stay tuned...

FYI. That seemed to do the trick.
