    Hi,here goes......

    In RR Config make sure you have the correct path to your music and playlists (THIS IS 2 DIFFERENT PATH BOXES)
    1st= Music Path: C:\Documents and Settings\Lee\My Documents\My Music\
    2nd=Playlist Path: C:\Documents and Settings\Lee\My Documents\My Music\

    Q? What codec are you trying to play? There is a box in RR config to specify audio formats(MAKE SURE THIS BOX IS EMPTY IN ORDER TO PLAY ALL SUPPORTED FORMATS)

    And finally and i hope this isn't it....Do you have WINAMP installed???
    If the answer is yes,have you set the path in RR Config to C:\Program Files\Winamp?

    1 of the above should sort your problem but if not we'll look a little deeper.

    Oh and....Welcome to RoadRunner

    Just in case you dont have winamp here's a link to it:

    http://www.rrdownloads.net/

    You'll find Winamp 2.95 under RR files.

    Thank you for your help, but i did all that and it didnt work. Isnt winamp suppose to start up? i look at my tasks and it doesnt show winamp as being open. edit i could only get the files to play thru winamp if i right click from folder and use open with winamp then i could stop and use the road runner controls but only for that one song. then its goes back to playin nothing

    I have a few more Q's...
    1) Are you using the official RR release?
    2) Have you tried it with a different skin?

    Also please check your path to Winamp if its not starting up with RR it would seem the path is wrong (the path should read: C:\Program Files\Winamp )
    After that i'd try reinstalling winamp.

    ok i got it to pretty much work. i had to make a playlist in winamp. an now it works fine. except it has one title and plays a different song. Ill fix that eventually im just happy its working now.

    lol ok how do i get it so it doesnt go randomly and just play song by song?

    Ok its making sense now..

    First thing i do on my systems is run WMP,this compiles my media in to its library,then i select create playlist,after that any folder(album) i add to my music folder is auto added to that playlist.

    To get your songs in the correct order make sure you enable Id3 Tags in RR Config.

    If your Id3 Tags are messed up you can use WMP to update them or edit them manually
