REQUEST: Run Multiple RR instances

There's no way to prevent that. You can only have ONE screen in ONE place at ONE time. I am pretty sure Destinator doesn't run twice so there's not much that CDR could do to fix it, other than some cheap-*** screen copying feature.

Yeah I thought that would be the case. How about one RR instance running FD and one running MM, with a port splitter to share the GPS between the two apps? Just thinking out loud here...Can't test anything until tomorrow.

they both use Destinator which means they wont run at the same time either.

i havent tested this yet, but is it possible for each instance to have its own settings etc, (2 seperate RR installs) ?

Thats my plan LS, Seperate skins for back and front seat passengers, etc. Maybe my first post was a little long....

ok, thats pretty cool. I may make a secondary skin specific for the backseaters with a different gps app running.

ok i just gotta ask.. what kinda computer are u using that would have the power to run two rr's with all the neccessary? I have a amd 2800+ and there's no way it would run two instances with support apps effectively.

Im running a Pentium M 1.8 Ghz. Also tested on a Celeron M 1.5Ghz and it runs fine, with GPS, two RR's, two winamps, and playing a video clip on one screen.

Havent tested with both RR's playing separate video clips yet though.

My system is running nLited XP with a custom shell app which launches the two RR instances, so that would help with resource usage.

so how do you get RR to load 2 separate instances of Winamp?
and how do you set which one is controlled at what time?

I want 1 winamp playing music.
I want the other winamp running a vis plugin, monitoring the soundcard Line-In for its beatdetection and outputting the Vis as an embedded RR window...possible?
