So not able to have Dual winamp control for single RR?
The second winamp doesnt even need to be controllable.. just set the input=linein and then Turn the Vis On and Off.
You have to have 2 copies of RR (you can point them to the same music/videos/skins and applications). Then on RR.INI you have to set the winampclass= each should control (just choose any 2 unique names) -- this is in readme.txt. Then just make sure one of the shortcuts to run RR has a in the parameters /2 so it can launch while the other RR is already running.

This support was built in order to better support a dual monitor setup, there was never an intention to control 2 winamps at once.
If you run the second winamp manually you can start it directly with linein input, however, there will be no way to control the VIS from RR, you'd have to do it manually as well.

Hey Guino, any chance of modifying RR so that an external app (like zoomplayer) can be used to play videos, rather than media player classic? This would allow multiple instances of RR to play different videos at the same time. At the moment each RR instance fights over the player.

does it have any control API/SDK ? If not, then I'm not even going to look at it.. it was a pain in the A$$ to make the interface for MPC already. If I'm to integrate anything now, it better have an SDK.

Hey Guino, Not sure if this may help you as I'm not sure what P3rv3rt B3ar coded his plugin in for zoomplayer to work with Xlobby, but I would think he knows how to talk Zoomplayer and that may be a way around the need for an SDK.
very cool thread.
I am building a new carpc and this is a MUST for me.
Have 3 touchscreens and be able to have navi or FM up front and dvd movie in the back.
What about the sound? can you specifiy how the sound will come out like if i have FM on up frotn then the front speakers play and if they have a dvdv on in back the rear door speakers will play that?
If you have 3 soundcards, you should be able to do that.

Hey did you see how old is thread![]()
Anyway, I want to venture into a dual monitor setup but i don't quite understand/know how to run a second instance of rr with the /2 switch and force it to load on the second screen
If i'm running 2 instances of the same rr, how can i change the XPossition (or another setting) of one and not affect the other?
Will i have to do like OP who had 2 distinct rr directories/installs?
I have a Radeon 7500 feeding VGA to a Lilli TC and S-Vid (TV-out) to a headrest monitor using windows extended desktop.
Just want to see if something can be done without installing external programs like Hydravision or Ultramon.
Thanks.
you'd need 2 copies of RR, but they can point to the same skins, use the same plugins and so on.. but 2 soundcards and 2 winamps (one for each soundcard) would be needed to make the 2 RRs fully isolated.
