I suggested to guino that separate effects be used for the picviewer and bigpic screens. (as some users would probably want different effects for the slideshow than for screen transitions)

LS, your idea would also satisfy that request. But now that I think about it, if you define:

    /E,in,out
    E,1,2

What will be the effect for objects WITHIN that skin, ie. Albumart/Coverart/Indicators? Would they default to the setting in RR.ini or would they take on the first value (1)... Perhaps it's better to separate the picviewer/bigpic with a seperate setting then??

Sorry, there's no IN and OUT effect. There's only ONE effect per transition between TWO screens. This will either have to be set as a effect FROM the current screen or an effect TO the next screen. But there's already an option to set it.

There's no Timing setting yet, but there's a constant that coud be changed into something else, but I don't know if the fade effect can be timed -- the time it takes depends a lot of the screen size being faded.

    cool,
there is an option to set it per screen?
fade effect is pretty solid as is so timing isnt really an issue(nice&smooth), i would like to slow down the other effects though they go pretty fast.
Im really, really, loving the fade though, i just keep clicking **** for the hell of it LOL.

Agreed. the sliding effects are a bit fast. I didn't notice it at first on my XPS, but on a slower laptop It was so fast I could only see about 2-3 frames as it changed (looked like a screen flicker).

Fading is amazing though - it really makes skins come alive. Pop-up menus are prime for this effect IMO. The picviewer is great too. Matter of fact, when i tested it for guino i figured I would give it a run for it's money and let it crunch over some 2560x1600 (15mb) bmp wallpapers... It flipped through them like a hot knife through butter.

    Ok too many analogies sorry

Not sure. It's in the beta, but guino may still be working on it for a future release. (Hopefully the next one)

The PicViewer has code for keeping Aspect ratio, you may just want to check your screen aspect ratio option in RRConfig, and make sure it matches your monitor's aspect ratio/resolution. There's also an option to draw indicators (from file) keeping aspect ratio now.

The effect option is: /EFFECTX and I believe it's on a FROM SCREEN basis right now.
