Some observations on the pic viewer.

1. if you click on the file list it loads the pictures into your playlist. Not good.

2. the image seems to be squashed into almost a square. is it not possible to either keep the correct aspect ratio or stretch to the dimensions indicated in the skin?

I'm gonna put in my requests on the picviewer, too.

1. Ability to scale all pics up by 125% in height for those running 7in. widescreen LCD at 800x600.

2. Fullscreen capability like video_player.skin (ie. HIDECONTROLS -> fullscreen. Tap on image -> back to windowed mode).

3. Slideshow with configurable delay (is it there already?)

4. Zooming on image and touch-scrolling

5. Loading an entire folder including images in sub-folders into a "playlist" of some sort (similar to audio_browser.skin)

6. On the same note, ability to load a picture "playlist". for example, an external script can automatically load the content of a flash card into a playlist, then load the playlist into RR picviewer.

7. Rotating image

8. Thumbnails on the file list.

I seem to be having problems getting the pictures to view in the menu.

Here is a functional skin screen it is not very pretty but it works the three main components you need for it to work are a directory list in the skin file and either a picture indicator (new) or an album art / application image object. And also a definition for the path to the pictures in rr.ini (example picspath=my pictures are here)

just make a copy of your skinbrowser.skin and rename it picviewer.skin and change UP and DOWn to NEXTPIC and PREVPIC

Yeah that would do the trick then just add the line

picspath=path to my pictures

to the rr.ini and a button some where that has the command "PICS"

Then you are up and running with a quick testing screen.
