RR is starting to get really slow

I have used RR for some time now and just recently it has become a DOG as far as speed goes. I dont know what is causing this but it is kind of annoying.
I have a MII 1200 MOBO, 512mb ram, running XP with the MC 2.0 skin and my MC skin mod. Screen switches just seem to lag especially when using the CFX skin.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
    Thanks in adavance

I started seeing some intermittent slowness with the addition of transitions.

Some of this lag seems to be skin based - and since I try everything and go back to BMV2, I haven't seen noticeable slowness recently.

Is anything enabled in RR which is not hooked up to your system? e.g. Phone control, XM, GPS stuff can lock up or slow things down when RR is looking for data for it and it's not getting anything.

Our Epia boards simply aren't powerful enough to run the transitions fast enough. Part of this is due to VB6, you may get better graphical effects if you were using DirectX for the graphics effect.

Also I've noticed the bigger flash skins get a bit slow. You may want to bump your RAM to 1GB or look into optimizing your XP install. Regardless you can always shut off transitions in RR.

What you really need is a graphics processor or more powerful hardware. But honestly what we're using now is sufficient enough since our main focus should still be on driving the vehicle.

Ok I DISABLED transitions and all seems to work GREAT but my flash gauges seem to not be transparent anymore. Example below. What is the cause of this crazy problem.
