    Changing back ground colour

Is there a way of changing the back ground colour in RR so you can have a light back ground in the day and dark at night? a bit like map monkey has. I know you can have day skin and night skin but when it changes it kinda restarts everything. And I know of gamma control but that kinda of washes out the colours.

You edit the skin images directly. You got 2 options. 1) Do it yourself with Photoshop/Gimp/whatever image processing app you know. 2)Beg the skin creator to make one for you.

I have created my own skins I have a day one and an identical one for night only with a darker background. What i'm asking is, is there a way to change the background with out loading a new skin

    The short answer is no.

The long answer is yes, there's workarounds. You can use the LOADIMG command to load a different background onto your skin. Or you can use Flash and change the background dynamically like the MC2.0 skin.

    Hello Paul,

it gives a dimmed effect, by changing the brightness I think. It takes the brightness out of a skin for use at night. A number of skins have this button featured, try BVOA http://www.stonewaresystems.co.uk/lack-Al-betav4.rar

Fire up the skin and hit the bottom right button to get the main menu. Then hit the Day/Night button and see the difference.

Otherwise just add a button to your favourite skin and give it the comman GAMMA.

    cheers

Like i said in my first post I'm not struck on using gamma control because the colours get all messed up and if you have it changing the skins you have to restart every thing like the GPS etc
