    Audio books solution for CarPC

Saw this thread here Multiple bookmarks (audiobooks) and did not want to step on it but if you guys are listening to lots books, you might want to look into audible.com. You get 2 books a month for 20, much cheaper than the average CD pack.

Some of the other advantages are:
Large file downloads, a 20 hour book will come out to three downloads of about 100 mb each (depending on your level of compression).
You can download the books from your home pc if you want and transfer them to your car pc as long as both audible managers are listed with the same account (you can have 4 or 5 machines per account).
No juggling of CDs, you know how it goes, your in the middle of a exciting part and suddenly your changing CDs.

What I did was skin the Audible app into RR and then made a WMP skin that fits in my top display and set WMP to always on top. This way when playing a book, it just rides overs RR. I also added a tivo like "back 30 seconds" button so I don't miss anything.

    B55,0,288,49,60,"LOAD;AUDIBLE.SKIN;Audible;C:\Prog ram Files\Audible\Bin\manager.exe;AudibleManager",

If anyone is interested in the WMP skin, I have attached it, it's basic in style but it does the job. I have also attached a pic of what it looks like running in RR (you can see where the WMP skin floats over the normal display).

I am posting this as a starting point for adding audible integration, my current solution is not perfect but it does work well enough. It would be much better integrated into RR using the WMP api but I have no idea how to do that.

    Some more notes,

Although audible warns about loosing its place during hibernation, I have yet to have an issue with that, you can also close wmp and play your book through the audible manager and it remembers you place in all of your books, so you can have several books going at one time.
