RR, Xport and GPS

So... I've installed Iguidance to give that a try, but to get the autozoom feature to work I need to get the gps info to RR aswell...

Searched the forum a bit and found that xport3 should do just that... installed it and set it up like this.
input: Com5 (my usb-serial)
output 1: Com14 (RR is set to this one)
output 2: Com15 (Iguidance, but it always seem to loose th portnumber)
output 3: Com16 (Netstumbler for those days of wardriving)

So most of the time it seems 2 work, the radiobutton infront of 14 and 15 is marked when I have both Iguidance and RR running, but I still cant get the autozoom to work...

any suggestions?

I could easy be wrong here but I didn't think RR used GPS in itself unless you have mappoint installed. None of the native GPS functions within RR does anything without it.

You don't need mappoint installed for RR you access the GPS.

All the RR GPS labels will work if it is connected to the GPS.

ok.. that sounds like it should work then... I just want to doublecheck with u pro's that I have done it right...

At the RR config - GPS screen:
GPS Path: bla bla... IGuidance.exe
GPS Window Name: Iguidance
So far I know it works since Iguidance embeds like a charm...
but under that I have:
Mappoint map: Europe
GPS Port: 15 (Like I set it up in Xport)
Default Country: Sweden
Auto-Zoom:checked

As I said it seems like RR connects to the gps since it shows that both com 14 and 15 is occupied in xport, but still no autozoom, and I have installed one of those flash logos but that doesnt show speed or direction either...

Auto zoom is probably for Mappoint only.

RR will not be able to control iGuidance's zoom feature, that would need to be configured in iGuidance (if it has such a thing).

well I'm using IGmon (iGMon - Solution for integration between iGuidance and Road Runner (I hope)) with Iguidance and RR and it says it should have "Auto Zoom like Destinator" but since it seems to be working I guess it's just a Igmon error...

but I still find it a bit strange that It doesnt show anything in the flash logo... but thats not so important anymore since I changed to the freedom skin anyway...

Road Runner needs it's own data from XPort. If you have 2 navigation systems installed the you need one port for iGuidance,one for MapPoint and one for Road Runner. Then you should see data in your flash.

Another thread mentioned setting the virtual port for iG below 10, to prevent it from resetting. I changed mine from 16 to 9 and that seemed to do the trick for me.
