    Does or will RR support .FLV video playback??

    I am asking because the flash based video format is one of the most polpular on the net now (ex: youtube.com)

    If you can find the codecs compatible with mplayer then RR supports it

    i found the fix for the video there is a VIDEO file association in the RR.ini
    videofiles=.mpg,.mp4,.flv,.avi
    adding the above line under the [video] options worked and fixed the .flv issue now i can watch all the youtube videos i want (pinkfloyd synced with the wizard of oz, how can you miss out?)

    also there is a spot in the RRconfig on the video tab, my eyes overlooked it till i was here "focused" at work

    ALSO use media player classic from the klite codec pack and you will be golden

    you gotta add the line eric said
    but you gotta have some .FLV codec installed too

    i'm currently using CCCP (Combined Comunity Codec Pack)
    it maker almost any player rum almost any format. the only one i've missed so far is the .rmvb wich can be player with the RealAlternative Codec.

    Sorry to post in these thread, I also have the same problem. I have installed the latest klite codec and add the line above to rr.ini, but still no go. I can play the flv video in window, but when I run rr while flv playing, it's stop and a little message on the bottom of embed mpc said "file can not find". It was working b4 with dfx3, this happened after I upgraded to the latest official rr version and dfx4. Any help and advice much appreciated.
    Thanks

    i even play mkv files, i am using the mediaplayer clasic that that came with the k lite pack. But flv was playing with the mediaplayer that came with RR, to bad the mkv didn't.

    Think your codec's are wrong. Just download a k-lite codecpack (a full version) and it should work fine.

    Thanks for your reply, I can played flv fine without rr running. as soon as I run the rr, it stop working. I am using k-lite full version. I found a thread someone here suggested by changing .flv to avi extension. I tried it and it works. If anyone have these problem, give this trick a try. Thanks for all the help
