    Shutdown problem

    Hi all, I'm french so sorry for my english ^^
    I have set RoadRunner as the shell as it's explained here: but when I exit RR (exit button is configured to Power Off) it's try to reload automatically rr.exe and I got 2 errors: "The application could not be initialized because the workstation is to be stopped" followed by "Can't access registry information..." and the computer is shuting down.
    I have tried to set AutoRestartShell to 0 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon but the problem still.
    I have tried too to change Shell to C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe and when i close the Calc its relaunch it.

    So anyone can help me to resolve these bugs please ?

    Hi !!! I've resolved the problem !!
    For all who are using Minlogon and a frontend as Shell I've found a solution to don't have these error messages while shutting down and reduce the duration of it.
    I have made a small program in C++ wich load the frontend and then sleep during infinite time.
    Here the source code for people who want it :

    #include <windows.h>
    int APIENTRY WinMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpCmdLine, int nCmdShow)
    ShellExecute(NULL, "open", "C:\\Program Files\\RoadRunner\\rr.exe", NULL, NULL, SW_SHOWNORMAL);
    return 0;

    My program is named "shell.exe" and is located in C:\WINDOWS
    So in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    Shell = "shell.exe" instead "C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\rr.exe"

    Maybe it's a "barbarian" method but it's works and that's essential

    In attachement there is the file. You MUST have your rr.exe in C:\Program Files\RoadRunner else it will not load RR

    ENJOY !! and one more time: sorry for my english ^^

    If you have VB6, you can step though the unload code and see what it's doing. It's probably some setting.
