    I'm using it for a few days in my car and its working fine, decided to share with the community. Will welcome all suggestions, requests and comments.

    GPS Gas takes your lon. and lat. from GPS Receiver and calculates to the nearest zip code based on that data (or you can input your zip code manually by clicking on “Postal Code label”). Using zip code it gets list of the gas stations with cheapest gas (Unleaded, Plus, Premium and Diesel) prices for that area from http://autos.msn.com/ website (internet connection required).

    Current Functionality
    1. Shows prices for Unleaded, Plus, Premium as Diesel (if available)
    2. Displays surface distance to each gas station (GPS Receiver must be connected).
    3. Use GPS Receiver or/and enter Zip code manually
    4. Can display up to 12 gas stations (will support up to 30 or unlimited if we decide to use scrollable list)
    6. Will suport other countries if i'll find where (website) to get data.
    7. A lot faster than using plugin.

    Future functionality
    Display location of the gas station on the map and calculate route.


    Installation Instructions
    1. Unzip file
    2. Backup (rename) you esisting rr.exe
    3. Drop new rr.exe and "Gas" folder in the root of RoarRunner.
    4. Copy content of the "skin" folder to your skin folder.
    5. Add button with the "GPSGAS" command to any of your RR skins.




    Just a quick skin for BMV2.

    Chuck - is this dloadable yet. You and LS simply take skin coding to the extreme it and exploit so much - it takes me forever to understand some of the inner workings .... and I mean this in a good way. I find out so much about skinning power when looking at your skins.

    Let me know when this may be posted - I would like to see about using what you mention.

    yea it freezes i got it to display gas data once then it froze on the 2nd search
    after reloading it froze on subsequest searches as well

    Same here - and LostReception your wizard hung - but did everything manual and still no luck with your new code either, I spent an hour on yours hoping to see the new work but the Wizard Crashed - then did manual but it does nothing at all currently. I see no .exe for yours, just the .dll so not sure if its even being called.

    Here with the NativeGPSGAS I am non gps so just waiting for the zip dialogue.

    Did not mean to cross confuse here but love both attempts - maybe somebody does not want me to buy gas ,

    It is NOT a plugin and does not have a name. When it will be included in the official RR release it will become a part of RoadRunner. However, I called "GPS Gas price Finder" not GPSGAS. I can change the skin name from GPSGAS.skin to GASPRICEFINDER.skin if you wish. The labels code on the skin starting with “gas_” not gpsgas.
