    Transitions

Is there a way to use transitions for individual screens, or is this an all or nothing thing ?
The reason I ask is because, as others with an Epia MII 10K M/Board will know, with transitions on, video's are very laggy.
Or would it make any difference anyway to video performance if individual transitions were turned off ?

Set transition=11 on RR.INI (or any effect you wish to be the default for all screens without custom defined effects) then add /EFFECT=X on each .skin that you wish to exit with a transition. Please Remember that there's one transition from ONE screen to ANOTHER (ONE transition between TWO screens), so the effect used is based on the effect set on the screen FROM which you're leaving.

    Thanks Guino.
I have found that with the use of your "video hide fix" beta and selected /EFFECT commands in the skin files, it is possible on carpc's with less powerful CPU's such as my Epia M10K, to have some transitions available, and still have a smooth video playback.
The obvious screens to avoid trasitions on are video player, video browser, dvd player, and the screen where you select the video player. ( in my case the menu screen in BMV2)
    So...a compromise..but still some transitions

You can also use /EFFECT=-1 or /EFFECT=11 to disable effect FROM specific screens.
